Absurd Gaff:
In 2019/2020 i made the original version, which had some seriously difficult 48th streams and *dense* chordjacks. It was a bit of a mess... but the song was cool and i liked the chart idea. Sooo i patched it up in december 2024 =). Here i experimented with how to make something sound and feel dense, without being constant 16th chordjacks, and got to practice my stream-density-192th thingy. The background from SDVX is really cool by the way. The style reminds me of the background from Sensationer's MeiSakura in SMOC 5.

Acid Wolfpack:
At some point i made the shanghai moon part of the second drop-part of the song, and throughout 2024 i filled in the rest. It's basically an Advanced™ Shanghai Moon with a cooler song. Effort was put in to make sure it wasn't too difficult at times, and that the player would have to mix in rolling and ""normal"" playing alongside the wristjacking, but it's difficult to feel if it works or not since i'm such a wristjacklet...

Asterisk:
Was listening to the "Mindless Act" album, and liked this song. "This would go well with 32ths". Didn't intend for it to become a stamina file, but it is what it is. I used some different patterning here than what i'm used to; deliberately trying a lot of rolly stuff and easy patterning. This did allow some more flavouring in terms of density, without creating big spikes or changing how the file is played, and was a good lesson for my pattern repertor... repetoaire... repertoar... repertoire :). It's sort of the same idea as in Three Magic, but with more "intention" behind every note. It here being for the most part just "voice change --> pattern change". File is fun to play while listening to, so it's a success in my book.

Best mashup 2020:
Did you know Camellia has a meme channel? Guess where this is from! I made the chart not long after the video (and channel?) was released (2020), and added the colour gimmick in late 2021. You can see the difference in style from my newer stuff, and this again is quite different from my earliest stuff from 2016-2018. That background is taken by me by the way, from when i was in a botanical garden while on a trip to finland.

Blue Archive Theme 24 (Endless Carnival):
Heard this from a buddy's discord server. I've not really been into the game side of Blue Archive, but its soundtrack really surprised me. It was posted there, i heard it, and i charted it. The song is fairly repeditive, which made some parts copy-paste-y, but for the chorus is thought "i'm gonna have fun with this!" and used lots of JS permutations. This is one of those charts that will never be amazing, ever, simply because the song doesn't allow enough freedom to make it so. Still cool though =)

Cha Cha Cha:
There was another chart of this in another pack and... it was disappointing. A restep was needed. I hadn't really made any "my dump file is better" files before since the whole thing is subjective, but i had a plan in mind. I went to my pattern shed and picked up some patterns: Runningmen from the selves, minijacks in the drawers, WIP meta-patterns, and other bits and pieces that i like to play. I then assembled them on the chart plate, put it in the oven at 225 degrees, and voila! Fun chart! I honestly just rapidly put down good patterns while avoiding second-guesses (hence subtitle), nerfed it slightly, and boom it was done just like that. Took around 1hr 30 mins for the whole thing. Some small mistakes are here and there, but eh i wanna preserve the spirit of the subtitle, and playtesters liked it. If i make a pack 2, someone will have to help me with graphics...

Mm-ma-ma (Crazy Loop):
I was chatting with Snover, and he started humming the main part of this song... which triggered a memory *far* back in my headspace. 2-3 days later, and i could envision the flow of the patterns in my head, and i dumped it on the .sm file in ~40 minutes. One revision and some smaller fixes, and boom bam boom it worked somehow. I did not chart this. It charted itself (which is also why it's dissimilar to all my other files here...)

Cry:
Don't remember where i heard it, but i wanted to make a fast file with this. Took a few revisions for some of the repeating 32ths to feel good. Not much more to say honestly... uuuh... i got some feedback from Cuckson which made it nicer to play i suppose.

Daemonophobia:
The Rachel chart was too hard, so i made an easier JS-focused one. Lyko mentioned that it was harder, which blew my mind, but also showed how skewed my skillset is (i get over 10% more on my own chart haha). The calculator, as of writing this, also doesn't believe it even is a JS chart... hmmm. Is this good or bad i wonder.

Dubwoofer Substep:
Ymfah made a video on the three people from Top Gear "beating" the dark souls trilogy in a challenge run, and somewhere in that video i heard this song. Good song --> me chart. On a scale from "legendary" to "congratulations", snover gave this one a "happy birthday" on how much i went overboard with some patterns in the first iteration. I have kept many of the patterns the same :))), though a few spots were a little much i'll admit. It's fun to play, so i'll call it a success. Looking back at it later, it's really not that crazy patternwise. Maybe Snover is just not a good judge (shocker, i know. He likes Lofty files :P), as Kazye too thought it completely fine, but any feedback is usually better than none.

eight-tyd-eight-five:
Such a good song. I made the main part first, added the structure around, and then filled in (over a very long time). It took some thinking and creative layering to make every part feel interesting, so hopefully it feels interesting to play for others as well. Still a little on the fence on the 24th stream sections, but eh i can't keep iterating forever. Post-creation, i do have a mellowed view on this file as "alright". I wanted it to be great and cool, but it appears i have more learning left on other file styles.

Fishpot:
Reappearing here! The chart had an intro with TWELVE seconds of nothingness, so i did some audio cutting and black magic offset to remove it. I charted this song because it is fantastic, and the patterns are sooo fun to play!! After looking at it now ~1,5 years after making it, i do spot a few mistakes here and there, and there is one 32th rollwall that is wack to hit, but other than that i am very very happy with it. I am not fixing them btw to keep the chartkey the same as the original, so scores from the previous version carry over.

404:
It's because of the speedup :D. Well other parts were cool, but i started because i wanted to chart the speedup, and ignored the ending because it would be copy+paste. ~2525bpm is what i found was the highest point, if you're wondering what the subtitle meant (~157,8 bpm jacks). I reheard this on The Gathering in uuuh 2023 i think it was, and listened to it at times. The meat of the song is whatever, but the speedup was always a highlight that made me come back now and then.

Gasyadocro:
Snover showed me a quite spiky chart of this, and he had revised the ending on a file of his, but nothing more. The song was quite cool, so i had to fix this injustice by recharting from scratch! It ended up quite different and considerably less dense. It's cool, and feedback (one player) approved of it =). The hole ate the banner unfortunately :(. You should've seen how cool it was...

Memories in the Blue:
Charted for the FFR Stepcon of 2024. I remember fellas telling me i'd easily get a good spot considering my opponents, and my chart did get praise from every review i saw on the server and forum... and i got LAST PLACE?!?! Damn, tough year i guess. People are good at making files it seems (big surprise!). Also fun fact: my highest placement in any charting tourney (and i've been in 7 ish?) is second last place... 3 FFR stepcons, the martzi tourney thing (1 week per chart is so little time), 3 etterna charting tournaments and one that i don't remember where was.

Multiverse Traveller:
I tried finding new music to listen to, so i tried some from Laur. In short: i didn't really like any, but this song was complex and interesting, so i gave it a shot in charting. It works :). Ended up being very "durvin". Got some nice experience in how nerfing a pattern doesn't necessarily make it worse (quadstream is hard), nor does it necessarily break a pattern flow or idea. Trying stuff is important.

Night of Core:
The JSOF chart felt undercharted, so in 2019 i made a faster version. Later in 2024, i decided to make it not have vibro sections (and chart the 2/3rds that was missing), but i kept the jumpstream style somewhat the same. It's a little rough, but it works. This one also forced me to think on how i could emphasise the drrrr sounds (especially in the ending) without going vibro mode. Sort of works. The idea of a pattern, and its reality, often differ. Kobaryo's character with longer hair looks quite good, so i chose one i found for the background.

Palace of Melancholia:
Holy Bitch 2 more or less. Very jacky, techy, spiky, streamy and difficult as all hell. And just like HB, it's rated 31 to trick everyone (i don't know how i keep doing it). Started in late 2023 and finished in 2024, inspired by Normal's chart in Kazye's Interesting files i found in my Discord DMs pack. Normal's streams are way better honestly, but i like the other parts more in mine. The goal was to make it not undercharted, and yeah it went the way it did. I like it :)

Paradise on E remix:
Oh boy, this song is such a nostalgia trip for me. Anyone else played Rage 1 and 2 on sites like Kongregate or Armor Games? Took quite a while before i found the source of the song, but when i did, instant charting in 2018/2019. The chart does exactly what is supposed to, and nothing more. When i was working on the graphics, trying to find a picture of earth NOT centered on north america (americans.....), snover suggested new zealand. Now you know.

Pardise Warface:
Good song --> me chart. It's very rough, but it "feels" like the song. Not much more to say about it. I once AA'd it, noticed it was missing a jump, fixed that, and then didn't AA it :c (got it later though :D)

Rammus In Context:
Made in 2021 after the whole out-of-context meme thing in League of Legends. Personally didn't like those memes, but this one was funny (at the time atleast). Oni diff AAA was very satisfying to get!

Ramsey Likes Bubble Wrap:
Made in early 2018. Don't remember why, nor where i found this. It was a finished chart, so might as well add it to the pack since it holds up alright. Also rest in peace to J pack... so many good random files now lost to people leaving the game. UPDATE: it might be from from the "Important Videos" playlist that was hot a while ago? UPDATE X2: why am i leaving "update" notes only on this song section, while just changing the other ones...

SAtAN:
A buddy showed me this song, and i liked it. You know the drill now: Good song --> me chart. Experimented with repeating patterns and structures, and i think it worked nicely. The song "breaks" a lot, much like hardstyle played at festivals, which made some parts a bit stale despite my effort.

Soulless 4:
Remember the Clone Hero craze around 2018/2019? Turns out it became a mash game at the higher end unfortunetly :(. Started this in the summer of 2018 while in vacation at my mom's place. Finished it throughout 2019 i think. It's bad at times, but i preserved it for actually going through with a real chart of it. It also serves as a remnant of the long gone J pack. At the time, there were only lazy dumps of this (my opinion cirka 2018), so i made a "better" one. Me today could improve this quite a bit, but i will preserve it to show Durvin throughout the times. At some point i also added the non-vibro difficulty so i could pass it... or was it the other way around? Don't remember :)

Stabbing in the dark:
This sat in my WIP folder for quite a while (since 2021) with only up to the first spiky part charted fully. Later decided to embrace the chaos patterns and make it jacks with some chords. This is now one of those charts that you can easily 90, with difficulty 94, and with great effort 99. The worst part of making this, was watching the gory video to get the banner... Yeah it's a little much. Not sure what i expected

Strong 280:
As far as i could find, charts of this tended to be JS and/or chordjack dumps, and didn't really emphasize the breakcore-y song structure. This was made to fix that. It's been made over quite some time, so the patterns do vary a bit from section to section. This is also one of those songs where it's sometimes hard to differentiate the sounds when they're layered atop each other as often and sporadic as here, and also some bits are just charted differently when it is the same sound. Live and learn. Or i could say it's for pattern variation and ignore it :DDD. The banner is from the same artist from an osu chart of this, of all things. I couldn't think of any better banners. It really doesn't fit...

The Bird's Snapshot Lifespan:
"Spacegorilla 14/9/2024: @Durvin u down to start working on a collab?" And so it was made. We started a i think the same day, and finished in less than a week. For this song, that's really damn fast (i am normally veeery slow). Kazye was surprised that me and SG had the capability to restrain ourselves to this level, and make a not-too-spiky chart. Really happy with this collab, and it was fun working with you SG :)

Three Magic:
There are plenty of charts for this, but NONE that properly charted all the jumptrill drrrrs!!! I tried to make simple and fun 32th light JS and 16th CJ as the main patterns, much like the Speed Training vol 1 file. Finding good repeating patterns was a good lesson in what can be done, and rolly streams aren't that bad after playing for some years. They have a bad reputation due to lazy/deliberate simplicity in some charts here and there, but they do have a place to exist, thrive and be fun to play. Don't be mean to the patterns, it's not their fault that the people using them improperly are the way they are! Speaking of, i tend to find the second half to have worse patterns than the first when i play it. Improvement never ends. The graphics btw is an idea i've had for quite some time. It's a similar style to the one in Speed Training, but at the same time an ""opposite"" character. Atleast i think she is. Lore...

Tool-Assisted Speedcore TQBF:
Started on this in 2021 or 2022 i think. Good song --> me chart. I'm happy with how it turned out, and this style of charting (alongside Holy Bitch patterns) would shape how i chart nowadays. Tried some similar ideas in Dourgent/Martzi/Samctuary/(one of these is correct i hope)'s charting tourney a while back in 2023... and people did not like it hahahaha. Anyways i like this, and i didn't chart the whole song because i feel 4 columns is not enough to justify the ending.

八大地獄邪魂転生狂葬散火歌 (yup):
The SMOC Extra chart had some flaws i didn't like, so i restepped it. In the meantime others have restepped it too, but i still feel a chart like mine is not out there yet. The first polystreams in this is maybe the most fun patterns i have made so far, and i really really like it! Not to mention that the song actually supports this pattern. Hooray for interesting songs! I cannot read this, and so i cannot be sure whether this is japanese with only kanji, or mandarin chinese. the SMOC transliteration is maybe more correct, or maybe not. Valedumps 4 also has a chart for this apparently. Is it's translation better?? i don't know!!
